Hey everybody,
I’ve decided to break my rule of only bothering you all once a month… Fortunately or unfortunately (depending on how you look at it), I’ve got a lot on my plate right now and simply don’t have enough time to tell you in depth about all the awesome things that happened last month and are happening this month.
I thought I would at least get my performance schedule out to you today so you have time to make plans, get tickets, etc. There are a few really fun things coming up in the beginning of the month, so I hope this finds you in time!
As always, thanks for supporting my work through this platform. It’s more important than ever to build communities on independent media sites regardless of the discipline or cultural circle in involves.
Where am I playing next? Good question!
Here are some public performances you can check out this month. Keep in mind that my schedule is subject to change as other performances come up. To check for updates on gigs throughout the month, you can look at my calendar at wyattambrosemusic.com/calendar, follow me on instagram and facebook, or contact me directly at wyattambrosemusic@gmail.com.

Soloists in the Round — this Saturday 4/3!
100% free admission, amazing musicians, and a wonderful supportive arts organization — The Roxbury Arts Group!
“Soloists in the Round, a variation on the time-tested tradition of the songwriters round, brings together three local and seasoned creative-musicians/entrepreneurs: Wyatt Ambrose, guitar; Evan Jagels, bass and Blake Fleming, drums for a riveting evening of original music. Each musician will take turns showcasing their own sonic language and compositional approaches and then weave their voices together in a group improvisation at the end of the night. This creative live performance is free and open to all. Limited folding chairs will be available and audience members are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets for the floor. For more information go to roxburyartsgroup.org or call 607.214.6040.”

Plug for a friend - Joel Harrison
Over the years, Joel Harrison has became an important figure in the creative music world through his guitar playing, composing, writing, and entrepreneurship. He’s bringing a group of excellent musicians to Mojo’s Cafe in Troy NY on May 9th to celebrate the release of his newest album: Guitar Talk Vol. 2. This new record features 1 disc of compositions for “classical” guitar duo, and a second disc of “jazz” duets played by Joel and some of the finest guitarists alive today including Mike Stern, Nels Cline, and Wolfgang Muthspiel. This record is phenomenal. Lots of unexpected turns and striking compositions that will keep you deeply engaged and on your toes through both discs.
Joel is a inspiration of mine, and I hope that some of you can check out this gig and album release this month.
Talk more soon!
I’ll be back in a week or so when I have more time. Until then, be well!
Break a leg! You have a lot of inspirational opportunities this month! All the best with the gigs and music making. Sending love and support from Michigan.
